Imagine if you had the ability to spike or aerate without all of the complex machinery, doing it with efficiency AND performance. The GreensSlicer® is the answer, making it a perfect addition to your equipment stable, without killing your budget.
As an affordable alternative to motorized methods, the GreensSlicer is a ground-driven, well-engineered performer. With reliability and longevity at its soul, the GreensSlicer is designed and tested for use on greens, tees, and fairways for over-seeding, opening localized dry spots, and aeration.
The GreensSlicer is simply one of the smartest solutions to turf maintenance. As a straight, tow-behind unit, the GreensSlicer avoids all of the mechanical problems associated with hydraulics and engine operations. By keeping with the GreensGroomer WorldWide mission of lower total cost of ownership, the GreensSlicer delivers on all counts.
Why struggle with complex machinery or hydraulics? The GreensSlicer doesn't require any on-board power to operate. The tow-behind unit uses the power of gravity in the form of water tanks as ballast.
The GreensSlicer® by GreensGroomer provides a quick and easy approach to over-seeding, opening dry spots, and aeration on greens, tees, and fairways. The GreensSlicer is made up of two rows of tines, offset front to back to create 2” spacing. Two 25 gallon water tanks present infinite adjustment of addition weight. Simply adjust the gallons in each tank to create the desired depth of the tines.

|Set-Up||Remove draw-bar from crate. Remove tires from crate. Remove GreensSlicer from crate. Attach the draw-bar to the GreensSlicer using the supplied hardware located inside water tank. The draw-bar is designed to be adjustable, do not fully tighten the two bolts at the frame of the GreensSlicer. Attach tires using the two axle kits located inside water tank. Grease wheel bushings. (See enclosed assembly instructions)|
|Adjustment||The GreensSlicer is equipped with two 25 gallon water tanks. Each tank has numerical markings on the outside end of the tank. Add or remove water to adjust the weight of the GreensSlicer.|
|Use||The GreensSlicer is transported to the area of desired use. At this time, the operator lowers the GreensSlicer by raising the wheels using the hand held switch and electric actuator until the wheels are off the ground. Pull the GreensSlicer across the desired area. The GreensSlicer is designed with split axles to avoid damaging turf while turning. However, for very tight turns, it is better to raise the GreensSlicer. When finished, raise the GreensSlicer and transport to the next location.|
|Maintenance||The GreensSlicer requires very little maintenance or upkeep. Always wash the unit off after use. Wheel bearings and pillow block bearings should be greased at regular intervals. When greasing, wipe off excess grease to prevent grease from falling on the ground. Tire pressure should be maintained at 15 lbs. If water is used for weight, it is a good idea to change water regularly to avoid mold and mildew contamination inside of tanks.|
|Other||Electric actuator is equipped with a manual override in case of actuator failure. For manual override, remove plug on the bottom of the actuator with 3/16 inch hex key. Use ¼ inch socket drive to raise and lower unit until actuator can be repaired or replaced.|
GreensSlicer (TS-48) Product Video
Upon first look, one might think the unit is some sort of spraying device due to the tanks. But the tanks are the prime engineering solution — ballast or weight that controls the depth of cut. More water in tank yields a deeper cut. Simple, yet completely effective.
Located under the large ballast tanks are the two 48" wide tine shafts that house 25 star tines. The tines on each shaft are offset to create a 2" spacing.
For easier operation and transport, the running gear is mounted on an electrically actuated axle assembly. This assembly pivots up during use and pivot down for transport mode.
